Max Prop Antishock

The function of an anti-shock system is to absorb the variation in kinetic energy that is generated with an impact (in a propeller when the gears are engaged or in the event of an accidental impact). We can define the “damping path” as the space available between the start of the impact and the final stop. The greater the damping path (in this case angle), the greater the anti-shock effect.

Almost of all the anti-shock systems currently available on the market consist of the insertion of simple hard rubber or plastic shims into the propeller, which allow a damping angle on average not exceeding one/two degrees.
The Max Prop® Antishock propeller is an Easy model propeller equipped with a patented elastic device in special steel which allows a damping angle greater than 25 degrees. Therefore, the Max Prop® Antishock propeller is the only one that allows a real shock-absorbing effect.

  • Design with attention to every detail
  • Minimum drag when sailing (Low Drag Propeller)
  • The blades rotate mechanically maintaining the same thrust profile and, therefore, maximum efficiency, both in forward and reverse gear, with the least lateral movement of the vessel.
  • It is delivered ready to be installed on the propeller shaft (already assembled, greased and with the pitches already set)
  • Extreme ease of installation, even with the boat in the water
  • Forward and reverse pitches are independent of each other
  • Possibility of very fine and precise pitch regulation, with variations of 0.5 degrees. The variation is very simple and can also be done in the water.
  • Reliability and unlimited life. It does not require any particular maintenance, over the years you only need to lubricate the propeller and replace the zinc anode.
  • In case of modification of the motorization, the Max Prop® Easy model propeller allows the direction of rotation to be reversed, without having to replace the propeller
  • Easy to remove from the propeller shaft, even after years of use
